INTA's Trademark Administrators and Practitioners Meeting (TMAP) took place at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland from 27 to 29 September 2026, and WebTMS and Alt Legal attended as one team. It was a busy few days: we reconnected with long-standing customers, caught up with friends from across the trade mark community and met plenty of first-time TMAP attendees.
On the stand
Visitors to our stand saw the full picture of what the combined company now offers: Alt Legal's automated IP docketing, global trade mark monitoring and watch services.
A new tool for drafting goods and services
TMAP was also where we introduced the Alt Legal Goods & Services Composer to attendees. The Composer helps practitioners draft more accurate goods and services descriptions at the start of an application, cutting down on office actions and amendments later. From the programme
Crysta Lemon Schmidt, VP of Alt Legal Assist, presented an interactive case study alongside Cheryl Whitlock, Senior Trade Mark Paralegal at Fluke Corporation, with Alison Caless, Partner at Cantor Colburn LLP, moderating. The session worked through a real-world trade mark portfolio scenario from the in-house, outside counsel and paralegal support perspectives, and prompted a lively discussion from the floor.
